hi all,

yesterday while having a short break at the local pub I've noticed something I'm not quite familiar with - a yellow shadow;) (I know it sounds kinda funny;);):) )

as you can see in the attached images the lighting conditions were
-blue led on the ceiling
-halogen above the sink

when both turned on you could see how regular shadow changes its colour from dark to yellow. any clue how this happens? probably nothing complicated but at this moment I have no time for "investigation';)

here's a youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqYT0wuMaBQ

Two possibilities:
1. It's the combination of blue light + reflections of red wall + "mixed" together with a sink material???
2. Alcohol + something else

When you are blocking the blue light, you create an area with only yellow light (halogen/tungsten).
Less light do appear as a shadow next to an area with more total lights (blue + yellow).
Further down you have black-ish shadow, that where you block both blue and yellow lights.
You can also see a blue shadow under the tap, where the yellow light is blocked by the tap itself but not the blue light.

Try making a Maxwell scene that mimics that :)
