I'm actually in the process of lighting an interior scene and it's a kind of a nightmare to do so with maxwell.
The best way i find to have good looking light with less noise is the use of ies file. But the actual implementation is really limited.
Firstly, a multiplier for this kind of light would be a minimum.
Secondly, to be able to scale this light for placing this the way i would like.
But the top feature that i think for now would be a kind of procedural ies creator inside maxwell that would give the possibility to modulate a light the way i would like to reach. I think of the the possibility in maxwell to place a simple light like what we find in classical 3d soft (omi, spot), but something on steroid that even give possibility of dissymmetrical light, just by "drawing" the look of light in a ies file. I hope to by understandable enough.
And don't tell me to model the reflector of the light i would like, it's juste craziness and unproductive in most case.
Thanks.
