After months of agonizing about the pros and cons of DSLR's, the brands and lenses etc, I finally took the plunge and invested in some decent gear. I went the Nikon route and bought a D7000 (+grip), a 17-50mm 2.8, a 50mm 1.4 and a nice flash. Coming from a Canon Ixus 860 which let me down a couple of times I was blown away by the new gear. The generated RAW files are &%!!$$ awesome! The ISO performance is lightyears ahead of the point and shoot cams, surely fullframe cams will top this again easily but I dreaded the weight and costs (for now...

)
Here are some random shots taken in Berlin and Barcelona in the past days (the depicted lady in some of the shots is my wife btw).
All shots taken in RAW developed in Lightroom and finalized in PS.
