Maxwell for Cinema 4D
Version 2.5.1.2 Release Notes

Version 2.5.1.2 is a minor bugfix update to the version 2.5.1.1 release preview plugin.

Changes
  • Made auto-refresh in the material editor optional; see toggle button next to the Refresh Preview button.
Fixes
  • New materials by the New Material command were not auto-refreshed.
  • Material editor was not pre-populated with current material when opened from menu/toolbar.
  • Deleting material components from the material editor, by the delete key, could crash Cinema.
  • Fire view not being updated when camera moved by Space Mouse; this may or may not be fixed now.

The button to turn it on/off is directly below the material preview, in the material editor, between the 'Active Texture' and 'Refresh Preview' buttons -- does its image not switch from a red button to a dark grey one, or vice versa, whenever you click it? And when it is dark grey, the material editor preview is not updated automatically, correct?

works fine here... :)
except there is no red / grey button. it's only grey and never changes color indicating if it's switched on or not.
One only can see it because of the updating.

edit: forget it - there is no button between active textures and refresh. I was just restarting / stopping the refresh.

ok I understand that it's scene object related, but for the individual sc objects wouldn't it be better to be able to make the settings before lauching fire?that way the window could open with the right size. Now i never know how to scale the window when modifing the quality parameter and get aliasing effects in the display.

Cheers, keep up!

reinstalling the plugin shows the button and it works.

But that has nothing to do with FIRE, or am I worng? This only sets that the changes in Material are refreshed directly and not just when I hit refresh, or?

So, is this a known issue?
