If i replace a modo material with a maxwell material i keep getting this error? If i leave the material as a modo material it exports and renders? What am i doing wrong

Sorry for being so late with my answer...

About the scene: I can't reproduce the problem here, I have tried with 32 and 64 bit, and I have changed some setting too but it works. What I can imagine is some kind of compatibility issue, but it seems to be unrealistic. I am sure you have the latest Maxwell version 2.5 - am I right? Does the same happens with FIRE too?

OR maybe your plug-in settings are different. Please move your main modo config file (modo401.cfg) temporarily to another location (Please do not delete your config file), and at next start modo will create a fresh one for you with the default settings. If the problem disappears, it means it was a settings problem. In that case we have narrowed the problem and we can step further.

Marton after moving my modo.cfg file i still get the same error message. As soon as i put any maxwell material on any object it gives me this message. It aslo has started to hang during expot.

Marton i decided to completely un-install both maxwell render and the modo plug-in and re-install both. I discovered to my amazement that their was a beta version of the modo plugin with fire, so i downloaded that and installed it. May be that could have been the problem? Running Maxwell 2.5 with the old modo plug-in? Any way now it's giving me this error message.

I think we have found out the same thing at the very same time, because when I have written my message about your old plug-in version and tried to send it, my message disappeared, but your new message appeared...

But yes, your plug-in version was not compatible with Maxwell 2.5. Have you installed the plug-in into the Luxology directory? It happens that the plug-in can't export under that directory. So one option is to reinstall the plug-in outside the Lux folder, or you can set your custom export directory (Plug-in Render option -> Exporter Settings -> Export Directory mode) to another location.

Have you installed the plug-in into the Luxology directory?
