What would the disadvantage of having a Bamboo be?

Many thanks in advance :D

I have the intuos and before it i had a cheap one $90 that was the series before the bamboo.

I cant tell you this, i miss the old one because of the small footprint, it was more travel friendly, if will not use your tablet as a professional painting tool, then you are good to go with the bamboo.

I´m really considering buying one just for portability.

I have used both and I honestly prefer the bamboo for things like texture painting. If you are doing actual drawing or painting, I can see the benefit of the larger size and advanced sensitivity of the higher end lines. I like the small size of the bamboo much better, but that is up to personal preference. I couldn't tell a difference in sensitivity or anything like that...quality seemed the same.

I also have a Bamboo in A5 format. I use it for quick texturing tasks and it does its job very well.
A professional digital painting artist would maybe choose another tablet but for the most small stuff it#s more than ok. A5 format is good too
