I'm a native SU user trying to help out a Rhino user.

He's trying to map a stone texture to a fireplace which has a lot of displacement. It needs some pretty sharp corners. In SU I can do this by setting the Smoothing Angle to something over 90 degrees and just map it to a regular box. Is there something similar to this in Rhino? Otherwise, if you make a very small fillet at the corners will the edges be pretty sharp?

If the geometry is NURBS, he will want to use Mesh > From NURBS Object, and then use the Weld command on the resulting mesh to adjust smoothing. I have not played with this specifically in terms of displacement myself, but I think it should be what you're looking for.

Yes, JD, thanks again, your tip worked perfect. He meshed the object, then set the weld to 91 degrees and now it's working great.
