Well, I am in the market for a new laptop and I want something different so I am staying clear of Dell as it is the only brand I have ever owned. Since maxwell is the most system draining program I own I thought I would ask you guys on what you suggest. I will nolt have it to do long renders or anything I will let me desktop do that. However I will run a lot of graphical software on it. Ie.,, Solidworks, Mastercam, Photoshop, Corel.., My budget is around $2500usd So far these are the computers I am considering.

Lenovo W701 and W510
Sager NP7280
HP Envy 17

I am unsure on all through companies as I would like this computer to last some time and I get mixed reviews on customer service and this is a kep factor fight now.

Any suggestions will be great.

you could get a powerbook for this price i think, which would happily do the job ...but i don't know if it's suitable to all your softwares

13 lbs...
"sounds closer to 50db when you’re sitting in front of it, uses a power brick that’s larger than a red facing brick, and has a combined weight greater than that of most bowling balls.

But the woes of power users don’t end at portability and noise. Those hoping to combine the X7200’s CPU and twin graphics processors in some super-duty GPU-assisted encoding tasks should consider themselves lucky if their programs can’t take full-advantage of the GeForce GTX 480M’s capabilities. A few seconds into our attempt to run eleven threads of Prime95 and one thread of FurMark across both graphics processors simultaneously pushed at-the-wall power consumption beyond 400 W, activating the power adapter’s overload protection circuit. Performance slowed to a crawl as the system went into battery-powered mode."

I was just in the market for a new laptop. Even though I didn't get one, the HP Envy you mentioned seemed pretty consistent across the board as being pretty much the top one out there. I barely ran across a reviewer that did have great things to say about it.
