Hi Jeremy,

I just hit "render" with output res. = viewport, and I get the strange camera shift again.
Image
The lens length seems to have been changed as well because I can't super-impose the screen shot and the rendered image...

This time, I had not created any custom named view...

Hi Olivier,

Starting from zero:

- Which version of Rhino are you using?
- Does the error survive a shutdown/restart of Rhino?
- Which type of projection is selected for the view in Object Properties?
- What happens if you change the camera target x/y/z a small amount?
- How does it render if you switch to a 4-view layout?
- Is there some way I can reproduce it here?

V5 WIP, sept 15th.

Yes

I assume you meant "Viewport properties" ; it's Perspective
- What happens if you change the camera target x/y/z a small amount?
Then, the render matches the viewport perfectly :

Renders properly.

Uploading the model right now...

WOW !

This is totally wild !
Look at how much the camera target gets tossed out of the road !
You can see it clearly here as I displayed the camera object.
The render is "consistent" with the odd target position though...

I'm posting this on the Rhino Newsgroup as well.

Pascal seems to think it is related to the 3D mouse.
Do you have a 3D mouse too ?
Do you see what I see ?

Pascal asked me to try turning the new 3dx driver off with the "TestSpaceBall" command.
Indeed, the problem disappears.
Some more 3D connexion driver goodness for ya.
When I think these guys are really Logitech, it makes you wonder...
