Next week I'll try to show a lighting setup from something here. Sometimes my lighting setups are less than optimal but they work. Also, I do alot in post work to finess lighting and clean up the image. Just as much retouching goes into these renders as would a photo.

Rusteberg: everything is modeled in polygons in Maya. I really need to start learning nurbs or surface modeling, it would some of these things a heck of a lot easier

As promised, this is a lighting setup from the Blue Moon Grand Cru bottle. This is the lighting for the bottle only, i did a separate setup for the labels and cap. This is probably one of my least sloppy light setups I have done and is actually one of my favorite renders. Like I mentioned in an earlier post, much of the time my lighting setups are pretty terrible in terms of practicality and efficiency, so most of the other setups wouldn't be beneficial for anybody to see.

Below the lighting setup image is a thumbnail link so you can see a raw render from using this lighting setup. As you can tell I do a TON of post work in Photoshop to get my images to their final state. It's all lighting and retouching work though, not adding parts from actually photos into it or anything like that (I'll say though, I'm not opposed to that at all, it's just not something that helps with my renders).
