I realized that folders were automatically created if the output path from the scene manager no longer exists.
I'm not sure this is very wise.

The fact is I often re-use old files as a base to create new ones, and since the folder structure has been changed recently, I often get this automatic folder creation behavior.
I admit I should change the path myself, but hey, I'm lazy.

My wish is that there was at least some kind of warning when this happens, with possibility to set a new path.

Cheers,

Thanks Olivier, I had not noticed that this was happening. I'm not sure how I'll handle it, because it's due to a definite feature, i.e. the ability to put paths to non-existent locations in the output Name/Folder, which will automatically be created at export time. I suppose I can put a warning up when the path pointed to by the output Folder parameter does not exist, but continue to silently create any non-existent folders which result from the value specified in the output Name parameter.

Well, at least, if it doesn't crash the render, I can live with it, but indeed, a warning can be a reminder that you need to "clean-up" your folder structure afterwards.

I don't like it when wy colleague asks me why I created this folder again, when I was the one who asked to change the tree structure in the first place :)
