Thanks for the info Nico, interesting talk and direct information.. information must go from citizen to citizen, here in france media only talk about sports all day (98%). Also I think that we are more sensitive to this because it is mainly concerning "us"/"US(A)"/"north countries" but such disasters are going on on the whole planet for a long time and for the same reasons.

Aimé Césaire said that the Shoa was so shocking because it was the first time white men exterminated other white mens, but it was not different than african, native americans exterminations.. i hope I don't say it wrong, but i find it an interesting thought. Massive pollution is going on on the whole planet but we don't see it because we externalize it to other countries.

I say everyone stays home.. period.. and we forget world commerce.. I want to eat MY apples... not apples from a Chile farmer.. (sorry for the Chile farmer).. and if I never travel anywhere anymore, that's fine.. (I already stopped travelling more than 500 miles) that's ok.. we have TV's and internet.. my gran'ma had never see anything farther than 20 miles around.. and she had no car... and no fridge.. and her life was wayyyyyyyyy better than MY supposed cool life..

The best would be not to buy anything that is not made in your own region.. that's the price to pay..

Exactly. Today, my little son thinks the supermarket is the source of X fruit/vegetable he's eating and for every single fruit I teach X has a X plant and Y has Y, lol.

Supermarkets are definitely the highest form of regression, and it's sad. I mean, I am certainly guilty of shopping there, and I try more and more to shop only on Sunday's at my local farmers market, but it's hard to get everything from there and well.....as a human, in the USA, I am F'in lazy to do it elsewhere. If I had the money to buy land, machines, supplies to do it all myself, I would.
