Hello Ben:

Here a few ideas to consider if feasible...

1. when maxwell plug-in starts to write the mxs file it's first step seems to be writing to disk all the materials & textures used in the Z file. is there any way to save time by only writing out the materials & textures used by the displayed geometry?

2. as I am watching the plug-in write the mxs file I on occasion catch an error or revision I did not do. Any way to build in the ability to cancel writing the mxs file?

Regards,

Gary

1. As of the 2.0.1.3 general release, the plugin should only be translating surface styles that are in use. If you have procedural textures, you can speed the export process up dramatically by reducing the 'rendered texture resolution' in the 'export' tab. The 'disable textures' option does not speed up this process, but it should. I will look into getting that fixed.

2. Good idea.
