I can imagine, crazy thing is... when approaching him up front his eyes turn red, and there is a strange buzzing sound... and I see a bit of smoke...

Kurt, as i seems you know a lot about the insect, do you know what this one is? I find it not too far from my house in Guangdong province, China. It's quite small, 8mm diameter around and it look like being "electrical"...very strange. It catch my attention as i believed some light was coming out from its body.

EDIT: I have found the name of this one, it's a Golden Tortoise Beetle (Charidotella sexpunctata). It was the first time i meat this insect and it very spectacular. Next time i will try to take much better picture of that one. All the week end i have shoot with ISO set at 1600 by mistake giving me some noisy photo...very disappointed.
