Spring time...

I'm not sure the pictures can be seen by all. It's the first time I'm using dpreview to host pictures so i have no idea if it's working well or not. But if it's is, it's free, have 200MB of space per month and 1000 pictures maximum...much better than flickr, and pictures can be upload in high definition.

The first two are especially nice Hyltom, so sharp and fine! :) what type of equipment are you shooting with ?

I still have no DSLR but i'm trying to save up to one and if all goes well i might be able to get one next month (i hope so!), anyhow.. meanwhile i had a bit of fun with my cellphone camera today.
As i had a old trashed digital pocketcamera i got from a friend i picked it apart, pulled the lens into pieces and extracted the small optics from within it, i use a bandaid to stick it to my cellphones lens and now i can shoot these types of macros with it. Cheapest possible solution but it kinda works. :)

Thanks Maximus, I'm using a Ricoh GXR with the A12 Lens. It's a pocket size camera like Olympus EP-1 or Panasonic GF1 but it uses an APS-C sensor the same one than Nikon uses in the D90 so the IQ is really good specially at high ISO. The big advantage is that it's easy to carry with you everyday. The drawback is that for the moment it lack of lens, only a 50mm available (28mm coming in few month) and this camera is base on a very strange concept, the lens and the sensor are fixed together that means every-time you want to buy a new lens, you also buy a sensor. But this haven't stop me to bought it, and I'm very happy with my purchase. It's a fantastic camera that suite my needs perfectly.

Here is a link where you can see the Iris picture at its Original size. This picture is strait from camera, no PP.

Thanks for your description and information hyltom, that camera sounds great and it performs like a real big SLR (read expensive) :) just look at that image you attatched, wow stunning imagequality! i read about this new system when it was released but didn't think about it anymore than that because i could not find any images that shows what it's actually capable of.
It looks like a good investment hyltom, you should post more of your photos with that here.

Great DIA!

..mmm Canon 50D Mark II, I have heard that there's a firmware update or something like this that improves considerably the video quality (..well I have also heard that the video quality of the 50D Mark II is incredible). Is it true?

This weekend i played the insect hunter. Sometime it was hard to focus where i wanted, with the wind & my hand shaking, in macro mode at 7cm a few mm move, the focus was off. By the way, if someone can tell me what kind of insect is the first one. It's will be good to put a name on this stuff.
