Any features you'd like to see implemented into Maxwell?

Hi,

I would really appreciate Maxwell Studio's Lock Exposure checkbox in Maxwell's 3ds Max plug-in. It's very useful for keeping a constant exposure while changing either the fStop of Shutterspeed, in stead of having to calculate it yourself.

Thanks,

Hi Metin,

When I posted the message, the build was already in the testing phase and no further adjustments could be done. I was thinking for the next update from my point of view. Sorry for the confusion.

After a second look at this, I think I may have given the promise too early, without checking the other major plugins, which implement the camera parameters just like Max does. Long story short, since no one else requested it, it seems that people got used to it this way, so until more people are requesting it, we'll stay on the wish list. Really sorry for the false hopes, I'll be more careful next time before promising something.

Hi Bogdan,

Ok, bad luck for me. As I see it a simple Lock Exposure checkbox would only make life easier for any Maxwell user. Now those who are used to working with f-stop in combination with Shutterspeed have to apply the 1.4 multiplication/division rule to calculate the same exposure with a different f-stop. And as the Lock Exposure function is already available in Maxwell Studio, it would only decrease the difference between Maxwell Studio and Maxwell for Max.

Just my two cents. :)

Cheers,

Metin

So, is this a known issue?

Thanks a lot for your response, I will update and […]

did you tried luxCore?
