JD, I'm going through your "Texture Mapping and the Maxwell for Rhino Plugin" post here very carefully. I was able to follow the examples along fine and see how that all works. At this point one question, what is the use/purpose/advantage of having several different texture mapping channels?

The purpose of having multiple channels is, given a single object, to allow you to map one of your material's textures with, for example, a cubic mapping, and another with a spherical one. Since you already have per-texture scale and offset in the material, it may be unlikely that you need to use this capability very often, although that varies, depending on your particular discipline.
