HA! don't forget, brian would have 200 renderings of the first polygon by the time roman finished compositing all the rendered sequences

I showed it yesterday to 3 people that have nothing to do with 3D .. verdict :

- very boring after 2 min., you wait something, yet nothing comes.. so no scenario, just pretty pictures..
- music is supermarket ambiance
- why don't we see the character more..
- what is that for.? 2 people said "a commercial ad for a bank"..

anyway, at the end, I said nothing was real.. so they all had a small wow.. but not a big wow..

(the 3 people were.. Bibi's daugther Isabelle, her boyfriend Micka, and a friend of him.-dunno his name- . all are in the 20/25 years old range... all are watching a lot of movies, so I guess they needed more to be impressed.. voilà

sooooo, one thing to learn is... the bar is higher everyday... and architects future clients have some work waiting... hehe..

h.
(please no war, this is just a POV from 3 young people..)

(forgot to say... Isabelle wants to know what is the guy doing to his cam at 4:40...  )

I was waiting as well for an heavy combat drone shooting at a falling meteor that is about to hit the Earth causing the extinction of the whole mankind, but sadly only masterful beautiful pictures here!

My girlfriend had almost the exact same reaction of your 3 experimental animals...

Just kidding, obviously, but this film is in my opinion exactly what we all would like to do and show if only we shouldn't always struggle for meeting common people and clients expectations and taste...and if we were able to do it, of course!

especially with dof effect - and of course color correction - the client want to see exact RAL color.

Actually -- come to think of it, .. everyone should probably gang tackle Roman, confiscate his work and delete it ! If we knew what was good for us there would be no more praise for Alex -- he's killing us all and we're helping him.  That's his master plan. lol...

If this is a thread stealer feel free to tell me to bugger off, but what do you guys think of Vray (then engine behind Roman's work here) that have tried it, in particular for Arch-Viz work? I'm beginning to find it quite appealing as it seems to be more focused on Arch-Viz with plugin's like VRay scatter and Autograss. It seems to be quickly becoming the industry standard. Does Maxwell have any advantages over it?

You should watch the exeter shot making of the "naked" render that comes out of vray in this scene isnt all that.
Romans Color Grading and other Postproduction technique/effects make his shots what they are.

Other than that I cant really say too much about archviz /w maxwell or vray since I mostly do product shots.

ok thanks for explaining. actually I do copy the T[…]
