If you're wondering about which composition to pick of the 3 examples you posted i would vote for either number 2 or number 3 with number 3 camera pulled back even more to leave some air around the subject. At the moment it's too tightly cropped.
Btw, nice chick! :) that chest with nails she's standing is called a iron maiden torture device, they were popular in the 1600-1700 century here in europe.

Yes, I was curious to see if number 1 was already clear enough and recognizable as an iron maiden, but as it happens, she likes something more like 3 where the iron maiden is fully recognizable.

It's only a very simple, rough model now, but I'm going to make the shape of the iron maiden as authentic as possible, but I'm going to cover it in green and purple paint and bumper stickers from bands she likes - all using Maxwell.

You think I should be even wider than #3? I'll take a look at that, too. Thanks.

Yes slightly wider shot than number 3, and with some air around the subject as i mentioned in my previous post. Tightly cropped shots gives the viewer a weird sense of being trapped in the shot. More air makes the shot lighter and easier for the viewer to look at if the theme of the shot is heavy as this one might be with the torture device in it. Although the hot chick brightens the mood a bit. :) atleast this is what i personally think when it comes to compostion of shots, but that doesn't mean it's the right way to do it. Opinions differ on this subject.

A closeup shot of something like the iron maiden is gonna require a different cameraangle and very high detailed models with perfect texturing and lighting otherwise it will be difficult for the viewer to identify what the girl is standing inside.

I hope you still plan on posting your works. Would be a loss for all forum members if you have changed your mind because of comments that may have been offensive or rude. (Although, I didn't get it.) :)

Your works are always refreshingly original and different from anything else on the forum.
