Hey Burnum- you should be able to get that effect with a simple 2 layer bsdf (at least this is how I have done it in 1.7) set one at roughness 95-99 (60% weight) and the other with roughness 5 (40% weight) or thereabouts and you should get pretty close to the flooring Jotero uses here.

Not to hijack Jotero's lovely thread .... if his floor is different I would love to see how he made his.

it's maybe stupid from your point of view, but how about printing your images in a book, postcard, calendar, volume print... it could be more beneficial than paypal donation for you, make people happy, and spread your art in real world. Even if it's nice on a screen too..!
