buballoo.. very nice tree run!! but i think the green leaves are a bit overgreen - better if desaturated a bit or randomized colors...but still amazing look and feel to the pic!-- and it looks great on good ol internet exploder

would be cool if maxwell had an internal "switch" shader (kinda like fry render does or maya shaders) that would let you map alot of objects with random materials colors off just 1 base mxm.. really bummed that v2 ddint even introduce the slightest 'procedural aproach'into its mxms

yes, it's modelled. it's... ehmm... a plane... ;)
no, seriously, it's just a simple 10km² plane which has a modified water wizard mxm on it (attenuation set to 10m and normal map used)
50m below is a second plane, just posessing a dark-colored mxm... well.. to mimic "the ground"...

I think I have a bug with single-side-SSS.
When it is activated, no weight is possible with it, not with numeric-values, not with texture, not within a single layer, not within a complex material. Only the SSS-associated settings show different behavior in the result, but not the weight-settings.
Even if you set the weight-channel to zero, it's still active. :?
When you deactivate single-side-sss and use volume-SSS instead, the weight works again fine.
Maybe single side-SSS needs some overwork ?

sl17.75, 10.5h, wizard-glass-mxm, a bit modified in attenuation... will let it render more, just to see, when (if) the noise escpecially in the bottom part and in the glass itself will start to disappear
edit: yeah, my handwriting sucks...

edit2: replaced it, now 21h48min, sl19.57 ... not that much of a difference...

nice mashium .. looks like the "church of maxwell" witht he halo glow on top!
making a nice casustics pattern at the bottom!..

but if u dev this scene more i think the straigh long groundplane kills the composition.. would be better as a arched curved background.. liek set in the bottom of a pool.
