what size are they im real life? and I agree on the bump effect
Real scale hey!? Haven't thought of that as I assumed changing the texture tile scale will do the job! mmm.....How can you measure a texture to real scale? The textures in gimp shows 4.7ft by 4.7ft guess thats got to be of some relevance?
If it's a tile texture, count the number of tiles and multiply by the tile size. Then set the image size to match in PS. I'm just guessing. I don't ever use "real scale" materials. :)

it's the easiest way to work with textures ...
Just guess how big one texture would be in reality and put that value into the mxed (in meters) with real scale turned on. It'll have the correct sizte on every object you use it.

Hey Brett!

Thanks glad you like my materials and yes I'd have to agree with Max - what I'm doing is only a drip in a very big ocean! :) - I was originally just going to make textures to sell but as i use Maxwell I thought of making a material pack to sell to the community as alot of time is going into collecting and making these textures! Yes the mxm gallery is a great resource and 1000's of really good materials made by users! I wont be able to compete with the scale of materials plus they are free..but I can compete with the quality as I will shortly have a full license of V2

Sweet work Teabag, they feel realistic when looking at them like this. You could create a simple scene with floor, walls, ceiling and some lighting and perhaps a piece of furniture in your scene. Something like a hallway where you showoff your materials in a realistic enviroment so people who will purchase your materials see how well they work. :)

@Max - Good idea Max will def put together a scene to show off the textures and materials  - Thanks for the kind words!!

@iker - Thanks glad you like them! - The 3 materials posted on this page is the start of the final materials from page 1! So hopefully all the materials will end up at
this quality! :)

Very nice Tea Bag!

I also save my best materials for sale on Turbosquid. Nothing wrong with that. Some materials you just invest way to much time into, only to give it away for free. Sometimes I even eventually put them up on the MXM site just for the Maxwell community.
