I am using .r2 to control the edge reflections. In 2.0, you don't need an .r2 file anymore, the .r2 settings are built right into the material interface now.

Hi,

nice renders and materials Mike. Stacked layers is my no.1 improvement in MW2 if they work the way as I understand - each layer is independent and if some layer is on top of other and is not transparent, you cannot see the layer under. It was problem in 1.x, that it wasn`t possible create some materials by real way. For example varnish wood and car paint. In 1.x if you try to combine 2 bsdf layers - one as a varnish and one as a wood, final material will act as partly wood/varnish. You can do some materials with BSDF weightmaps like Max is doing, but it is just materials, that are different on some parts (rust is mapped on some parts). It was good explained in these threads :

However I thought, that stacked layers will come in 1.x.
