I don't mind the watermarks. You gotta do what you gotta do to protect your work. I've heard of people showing renders they pulled off the internet in their portfolios. Or you could just do what I do: produce crap work so nobody will want to steal it!

Exactly why I have gadzooks work in my portfolio with the watermark stamped out and not yours.

I've seen your portfolio Jason. I say do whatever you have to do to get it up to par. Lie, steal, cheat, whatever it takes. No one here will blame you.
