- They explained the reason why you can't see any stars several times, and if i remember correctly it was for reasons like the camera could not capture them with the short exposuretimes they used on the moon.
- They passed through the very outer edge of the Van Allen belt and only for a brief time, about 60 minutes so they didn't get affected in that short time by the increased radiation there.
- The shadows issue depends on a objects angle to the sun and the angle of the ground it's sitting on which can alter the direction of the shadow. This will all affect the angle at which you see the shadow fall from the object. As 3d-nerds you guys should know this stuff already.
