Stinkie, retorical or not. It's a fair and honest question and no matter what i still agree that a real purchased license is always better than this. I'm not particulary proud or happy about using this version but the urge to test all the new goodies in 401 took over completly and then i was trapped. Btw, bugreporting is only possible for customers so i can't assist with that for now.

I'm sorry Maxwellians

You better start saving up if you want to redeem your soul, Max! I've already begun tossing euro coins into a big jar to be able to afford MW V2 ... :)

well...almost
Just do not try to edgebevel with snap on background edge active...1 time every 5 attempts or so it crashes!
But it makes me feel at home, 'cause 302 used to behave the exact same way...
At least to me!

The Vray version wins absolutely. It is photorealistic. Modo 401 version is identifiably cg. For example, the interior lighting, the subtle reflections on the glass (which seem to be oddly missing from the Modo version), reflections on the water, etc. etc.

If only there were a Maxwell version to put them both to shame!

(There, I redeemed myself.)
 you can download the 3dsmax scene from here http://www.evermotion.org/tutorials/sho ... announced/

and since you are a Max user that could be easier for you, convert materials, lights, press render... you know as easy as taking a photo.
Perhaps you can save it for later show to as what you & Maxwell V2 can do. 8)

you bet Daros will nail it (is that gonna be with FELIX or Maxwell?)

But since you are the one with the big Mouth, also a beta tester and the scene is 90% done I think you should give it a go :)
