Hi,

I was just wondering if there are any mountain bikers here? I am a total addict, and have been for many years...

I have three bikes, a Cannondale Taurine 3, a Cove Handjob and a Cannondale road bike. All of which get serious hammer ripping the trails here in the Dordogne France.

Cheers

Neil

I've got an specialized Enduro, an specialized HardRock (my wife uses it) and a old DH Mondraker.

...and I have had a Kona Lava Dome, a Specialized Stumpjumper M2, a Klein Pinnacle (italian flag painted,a limited edition signed by Tinker Juarez...the best I ever had!)...

I love mountainbiking!

YEAH, glad to see there are other mtb addicts and a nice selection of bikes too.

In the past I have had a specialised rockhopper(my first mtb), a Team Marin(killed by a car, which broke my arm too!!), a Proflex(terrible), a wierd purple hibrid thing with no name, a Giant cadex cfm1, a Sunn chrome monster thing, a Santa Cruz Superlight and a Pace hard tail.

Cove make some very strange named bikes, there is also a Stiffee, foreplay and a g-spot. I once spoke to a guy who helped come up with some of the names, on a beach after many beers.. or so he said :-)

Hey Magnus, good to hear from you, how is London ?

Hiya Neil :) i'm not gonna hijack your interresting mtb thread here but from my 2 day long experience of it so far i can sum it up with these words..
- people here are extremly friendly and helpful. I'm actually impressed!
- what little i've seen of the city so far looks great!
- brits have a great sense of humor :)
- i noticed i am a newbie in comparison to the others here
- my english is unfortunately pretty rusty :(
- traffic is a nightmare!!
- brits drive on the wrong side of the road
- food, drinks and groceries are cheap and fresh here
- i7 machines are very fast! (that's my workstation here)
- money seems to last longer here than in Sweden

I guess that sums it up pretty well so far, still the friendliness of the brits is what made the biggest impact on me, and the politeness. They deserve a better reputation. :)
