Have a look and see for yourselves how much this eases the job of working with Zbrush and external applications.

You bought Zbrush now yanada ? i see the financial crisis haven't hit you yet.. hehe

Calico: :D i agree!

Using that plugin in combination with Maxwell 2.0 and the Modo plugin it will have will be a killer combination. Imagine the possibilities this offer for creativity.. omg i can see such huge use of that combination in just about any rendering/scene.

I was going for 3d-coat but the Zbrush 3D Print Exporter it made the difference. + modo connection, I could not ask for more :D

The developer of 3d Coat doesn't make so much wind about it but 3D print export is already there.
3D Coat writes and reads .ply and .stl files - that's all you need.
And there's also something like the decimation master - with the difference that the outcome is all quads.

polyxo you absolutely right. 3d-coat does all that and more, But in my case I don't always have the time to do the "dirty job". I often commission/collaborate with other artists, and Zbrush has a huge user base.
I have the some problem with MoI...great app but...

How do you go about importin .ply into 3dcoat?

I tried importing a big mesh, a reference mesh and also tried just opening in the old Version as well as in the 3.0 alpha.
I must mention that I'm running both in demo mode, is it perhaps that ply import is disabled in the demo?

trying to import and convert .ply format 3d scans..
