They are very nice, clean renderings/tests. The render times are great. They just lack that certain look of Maxwell. The cornell/teapots scene's sunlight shadow edges... The gold rings scene's reflectivity on the floor surface... The glass car scene's faked caustics... CG looking faked AO in the white rooms... Maxwell does this all with so much more realism. But Modo is looking like a very good alternative to mental ray.

Actually its funny you mention those rings those were maxwell I posted the wrong image lol. And I believe I built it straight from the presets that Tom provided us :).

I think alot of what is said is how do we say biased :P :wink:

8) I lied I had the right image up. My bad hehe. Its hard to tell the difference though, cant find the maxwell one now though or the scene for it lol sucks.
