It would be nice if all the interested people on this forum can team up to correct the model, apply (create) the materials and probably use a render farm to see what really maxwell can do in this competitions.

Here's an overnight render on my small farm. It reached a combined S.L. 22.

Not to be snarky but the models don't look like they will render naturally- no fillets, incorrect proportions for gemstones etc... is it just me? If I was to render this to look photo-real I would have to remodel quite a bit of the scene. I would love to give it a go but ........

Ivox- what file did you use to get it into Rhino?

I found out that the gems that are missing on this ring aren't supposed to be missing. It is an apparent error in the 3ds file. I think I'll leave it like that though, I dunno...

But they just happened to fall physically correct on to the table ?

The obj file worked. Don't grab the 3ds file...
