I think in Matador you can only scale cubic mapping. No moving is possible, I think.
Yes, it seems it is possible to control positioning and scaling texture via generating UV map in Cinema.
My way was (same like tonfarben's):
Crate promitive, make editable, delete UVW tag.
Then set mapping and scale of texture. Scaling must be done with coordinates not with tilling.
An then from menu texture in object manger create UVW coordinates. Thats it. Than looked my cubes like in C4D.
:-)
P.S. hope you unerstand my english ;-)
Thanks Spekoun,

I understand your english perfectly. I tested the method that Tonfarben and you have worked out and it works!

Thanks so much. This was the last issue I needed to work out. I will let you know in 5 days how everything has worked out!

Hi. Tonfarben worked it out. I have only maked tests with checkboards to see clearly how it works. ;-)
Now bother me only mixing maps as shown in test. Has anybody fixed it out???
Thanks again to everybody. Especially to Daros. Matador makes Maxwell usefull for me. :D

[[Shad0w]] wrote:Tyrone Marshall - fantastic ball :) and model - is only geometry ball ? or you edit geometry latter?
Hello Shadow,

the ball is simple sphere with maxwell metal aluminum and a image map of water with caustic applied as bump map.

I will post the image map as it is public domain.

Two remarks:

1. The copper material doesn't work because it is spelled COOPER.

2. I'd like to work with cylindrical mapping, just like in c4d. I don't get the same position of the maps with uv-mapping and I don't find a way to work around that.

Hi Macray. Have a look to a previous page. We discussed UV in C4D there. There are some my tests. It works good. Dont forget in Matador use UV mapping too... ;-)
