this is in the county of salzburg on the border to germany, in a little village that is, if i translate directly, called "BackValley".

They have a little church with a mark just under the roof, saying that on 1.mai 1817 the snow had reached 6m !!
that sounds mad.. but it is the location in front of a 3000m high mountain (Hochkönig) and the strong winds that often cause very strong snowfall and snowdrifts.. personally this winter was the most i have seen there myself.

Some pics from my cell, this is tonight's dinner. I baked two pizzas, one standard circular pizza and one calzone thingy. First time i attempted baking a calzone but they both turned out great! btw, i didn't eat them both, one went straight into the freezer.

I got to borrow a old Nikon D50 SLR with a Sigma 70-300 lens and a smaller 28-105 lens from my current job for testshooting with at home this weekend. And my father also came by to visit me today (Saturday) so i showed him the camera and took a couple of snapshots of dad with the 70-300 lens. I just have to say wow, shooting pics with a SLR is such a difference from using a pocketcamera, i had no idea the difference was this big.

..no problem! i don't live there,.. i live in vienna, i had to move from the outskirts to a rather ugly inner part of town some time ago... i know what you mean...

the cell is a htc touch HD. htc has bad cameras.. still not very good compared to your nokia for example, also no flash. but it has 5mp and with sufficient light it produces ok images. the phone itself i like very much.. amazing screen with 800x480 px.

This goes on eBay, talk about overkill but i wanted to practice making a nice 'product shot'.

I just have to say wow, shooting pics with a SLR is such a difference from using a pocketcamera, i had no idea the difference was this big.

Yeah, so much better handling (size aside) and battery life.

That grass and the spotlight were both beautil shots Adrian, i like them!

I went to the store today, needed milk and some basic groceries anyhow on my way out the door i spotted two large rabbits sitting in the grass. No i'm not living in the middle of a deep forest far away. I live in a pretty crowded area full of buildings and cars about 15 minutes from the big city of Gothenburg. And i also saw some pretty flowers on the hill behind my house, just outside the door. Shot these with my cellphone camera, reduced the size of the pics by 50%. for online posting.




They're not the same pic twice, they're similar but differ a bit. Added both because i felt like it.
