It's a great display of artistic license.......who is to say that it's way over the top, correctly done, or whatever?

In my opinion it displays a ton of character and that makes it interesting to look at, as well as the rest of his images.

For sure he got the skillz. Also take a look at http://vyonyx.com/ I personally don't give a monkey's if they look photoreal or not, all I can see is a great mode of expression.

I like the idea of doing some work in Phostoshop, though, instead of all in Maxwell.

For the yellow ring above -- a little cloning of yellow to the east; now it's irregular. A little cloning of wood back to the west; now it's chipped.
