What about Antivir? I know for sure that I have a little bug in my PC that I let in but Avast does not clean it (it detected it but I thought it was wrong so I stopped Avast and executed the file; once in, Avast does not detect it anymore) :?:

It's true that Avira Antivir is another good choice. I had a similar experience like you but Avast was the winner in the end. That was a rootkit none of them could remove but Avast on the boot time scan. So, it's very hard to compare but I support both of them anyway.
