Well it's better to hear anything than nothing. So I'm not unhappy with this newsletter. I also like the "picture of the moment"
Even though I'm not anticipating the 2.0 release, I would have hoped for an 1.8 upgrade to fix some long time issues ...
I might be very interested in upgrading, but I'm also pretty sure I'll wait for a while to see if there are as many bugs and problems reported as there were in this version.

The fact that we have only 4 pages of answers to this thread means that the announcement was not so important... I am happy to see that the next release will be a really major update (remains to be seen of course) but I hope for a reasonable price for upgrading...

Please, more info soon... This can only bring more users to you if you really offer something nice!!!

I am really enjoying the recent strategy of Luxology slowly inveiling their new modo release.
It gives the customer the possibility to peak in, without seeing all the functions etc. Just showing what can be achieved by new functions and workflow enhancements.

It also makes the user feel more connected with the company and to be straight forward I as modo user feel taken care of and part of the family.

I have the feeling I'm not the only one enjoying the progress of the 401 unveiling.

just my 2cents to this strategy

......
NextLimit did the same thing before.
A-Team showed some new features and test images.
But I don't remember when was the last. :P
I think they are preparing for a new surprise party before long.

Dittos on the Luxology props. I don't know a lot about Modo and don't really plan on getting it but even I've been keeping up with the roll-out of their new features. What makes it exciting is how great each of the improvements are and how well they're showcased. After reading the entry on Fur and seeing the pictures I was thinking to myself, "I'd probably never use that...but it's awesome!"

I don't think Next Limit was even going for that sort of thing so I'm not too disappointed by the sort of cool (but not thrilling) preview in the newsletter. I'm confident they'll throw in some stuff that'll make it well worth the price of admission.

That said, I think the mxm browser in the newsletter could be a very nice addition, especially if it's integrated with an easy way to upload materials as well. There will more material sharing and more pre-made materials to choose from. It reminds me a lot of one of the features from Stack-Studios Felix software that I read about awhile back.

The material browser is a nice feature but not of the ones we need!
I believe they just had to write something... There will be many improvements but we have to wait and see...
