Nah, there's no point in fixing a pocketcamera which cost 300euro 4-5 years ago. It would cost me more than buying a new one. And oh yeah, i desperately want a new one! :) money is the biggest problem :( i got non

Now i want a nice Nikon D90 or D3x i think they're called, but both are sooo expensive, from 1200 euro to 2500+ euro. Ouch!

from Kenrockwell site...

The $8,000 price of the D3X is a rip off. It's the same camera as the D3, with a slightly different sensor that merely divides the light into a few more buckets more slowly than the D3. It's the same thing, and since the D3X is only worth about $5,200, you won't see me paying $8,000 for it.

Since everyone's talking about digital cameras here  I was wondering, if someone knows if there's going to be an update in Canon EOS XXX series - I'm taking about a camera that might come after 450D or 1000D. (XXd or Xd are way to expansive). I was recently thinking on getting one - the 450d, but after trying out both (450 and 1000) I liked 1000 more for some reason... but then thought, that maybe I should wait for the next one - 400D and 450D where released sometime in spring with a 1 year gap as far as I remember. Anyways, I don't have $$$ for non of them right now

BTW, does anybody have a 450d or 1000d here? Just curious, if it's a good camera, since I was thinking of going for an advanced camera after my good old compact.

No idea about plans for a new model. Might was well start saving now and keep an eye on new releases.

Great Jeff ...

I'm kind of thinking that the image should be rotated such that the middle lines are horizontal true ... ? Its just because of the geometric nature of the image ......

Nice take on a classic.
