I've got a clear product label that has color in it along with a
white gradient...white gradient gives way to "clear" label...is there
a clipmap technique that can account for the gradient?

Suggestions much appreciated.

I don't think I understand exactly what you say; are you asking for gradient clipmap?

Then you have to use your clipmap as a weightmap for the whole layer instead of using transmittance slot.

Some images about your problem would help to help.

Fernando-

Unfortunately I can't share the graphic...maybe you've seen consumer
packaging ie. clear bottle and then clear label...clear label has
graphic with color. In my case, in addition to a label with color it also has
a white gradient...my current clipmap technique masks all the white.

Looking for a way to address the gradient issue -- if that make more sense?

This may illustrate what I'm talking about. I'm trying to show a white gradient on a label that is transparent "clear". When I use a clipping technique one in ref. other in trans. + a weightmap -- using that technique the white area is clipped. In this case, color wise, I'd be left with the blue and the hand color.
