As a Maxwell-newby I have a some questions on the use of emitters in Solidworks. I constructed a sort of square thin solid to use as emitter. If I apply an emitter material, the light also emits from the backside. Is there a smarter way to construct emitters in Solidworks and is there a way to let the light only emerge from the front side? It seems that if I increase the size of an emitter (to make a softer light), the noiselevel also increases. Is this true?

Make a surface plane. I forget which side the normal direction default to though. If it doesnt light the scene flip it over so it does.

Thanks a lot! It works perfectly. Do you also know a good way to keep the noise level of the rendering as low as possible?
