Obama has a nearly impossible task because we have lost our government to big business, the extremely wealthy and other special interest groups due to a corrupted process and the apathetic. We are now reaping the consequences of the abuse, lack of supervision and absence of regulation with what is likely to be the second great depression in America following an illegal and immoral war and a dysfunctional president. To bring real change, an overhaul must include:
1. A press free from government and business control.
2. Term limits for all branches of government from the federal level to the local level.
3. End lobbying for domestic businesses and foreign governments and businesses.
4. Impose a job description with rules for the President to follow to end abuses of office and power and to prevent the holders and associates of the presidency from determining the metes and bounds of the office or to change the constitution, our sovereignty or our laws with a signature.
5. Require journalists and all entities involved with the gathering and presentation of the news to the public to be certified and sign an oath to uphold certain ethics and to present the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth regarding the news.
6. Revamp the federal and state legislatures to accomplish more real work and to greatly reduce the corruption.
7. The oath of office for all elected and appointed governmental officials shall include an agreement to suspend all political party affiliation for the time they are in public office to devote their efforts to represent their constituents and to work with fellow office holders to solve the problems of this country.
How sound can Obama's efforts be if they rest on a questionable foundation?
