I visited Italy during last summer's break from school and the only channels in the place where we stayed was BBC national news, CNN national news, and the soccer championship. I must admit, I was no fan of soccer before that vacation, but after hearing about Mugabe placing his opposition under arrest before the up-and-coming election in Zimbabwe for about 8 days straight on both news channels, I learned to value soccer.

So, after returning, I haven't watched a single soccer game, but I'll always have fond memories of buying several Sicilian pizzas and plenty of wine for the game nights in Italy.
