The furniture is nice, but the materials in the background are a little over done, looks too busy for my liking.

I say this with sincerity -- this isn't working. Maybe I'm missing the point ?

1. Xmas connection ?

2. Chaise cushion needs some more modeling/softening.

3. the textures?

You do architecture -- how about the chaise with a holiday print and maybe a gold wrapping paper wall texture ? Perhaps some mini-evergreen planters ..
