wanted to make a salmon fly because iam a fanatic i fishing
Used maya hair and converted it to polygons ...many of them
This is my own creation of a favorite fly

To Axe: 770 000 polygons and the difuse shader for the hairs

To Whiskey: Well i was using paint-fx hair but broken in to strips ?

Good work on it! the fly looks quite realistic seems there are a few people here who like to fish, i'm one of those too. Best in my area is north Norway in the fjords or the Swedish mountainlakes
