When assigning materials (mxm) that have been downloaded, Maxwell Studio warns when the texture cannot be found allowing the user to reassign a new texture - browse to new texture folder, etc.
On texturing in 3ds Max plugin, this warning doesn't seem to occur (for me at least).
Am I correct in assuming that I must use MXED or Studio to setup each mxm with its corresponding texture before using the plugin approach to texturing?
Or is there a way to have 3ds Max signal that the texture as set in the newly downloaded mxm is needing reassignment?
Thanks for any help given on this one
