Brett, it's not that it's nice or not, it's that it's reading as artificial. If that's the goal, then, I dunno, "great!" I'm just curious, that's all. I'm always looking deeper into things that set my mind's b.s. meter off, because photoreal is my goal. Photoshop is fine, if it helps get you there, but in this case, something looks very artificial to me, and I'm asking what it might be.

Hey Mike - it was meant lightly, please don't take it too harshly.

I know where you are coming from with this issue, having discussed it before. Your habitual brevity read to me as dismissive of the work on the basis of it looking "posted" and I just didn't think it was necessarily relevant (as that is more in line with where I come from on the issue)

Anyway, although I also think this image is not after reality but after a certain mood and it's superquality I would also like to know the answer to Mike's question. Maybe there's no dirt at all, maybe too much color saturation for a real photo but pleasant for the eye...

I think some of the textures need a bit of work. Also, the beam of light looks "not so good".
