So I've moved to a "Rhino in Parallels" workflow and hoped to use Maxwell in OSX. I've done some basic tests making objects in rhino to import into studio in OSX and I haven't been able to import anything. I'm new to studio (been using it as a plugin for rhino and Max for years) so it's entirely possible that I'm missing some major basic step. I can import the geometry fine in studio in XP, just if I try to do it in OSX nothing happens. Literally, I right-click, select import, find the file I need (I've tried 3ds, dxf, stl) and click open and I get nothing. No message about anything and no objects in the scene. If I try to export an MXS from rhino and open it in studio in OSX I get the message "the mxs is obsolete or has been corrupted" but it opens fine in studio in XP. What's the deal? This is on a Dual core 2.66GHz MacPro with 3gb ram running 10.4.11 and Maxwell 1.7.0 and Rhino 4.0 sr3. If anyone has any clues I'm all ears... Oh, I've also tried to do the same thing on another machine in the office and I get completely the same result.
