We're trying to render specific geo of a model in Maya 2008 by using render layers. Noticing though that Maxwell is still rendering all geo in the model, even if some is hidden in the layer we're rendering. Has anyone else experienced this? Verta's video says render layers work so we're wondering if there's something we're doing wrong?
