ioiooi: You cannot compare your untouched Maxwell renderings with productcatalog 'photos' of rings and gemstones because those photos are ALWAYS heavily Photoshopped, they're never straight outta the photographers cameras. Actually they hardly resemble the original photo because so much is fixed in post you have no idea..
If you're gonna compare then go to a jewelrystore and look closely at what the real gems look like there, how they interact with light and the enviroment around them. Never trust what you see in catalogs and on websites because it's all postfixed a lot.
