why is there this discrepency between the preview and what has just been updated?? its completely different. lighting is hdr -> intensity is set at 15. can the intensity make this difference.

The main image updates when the 'Update' field indicates, in this case in 13m28s. You can also stop the render in which case the main image updates as soon as you hit the Refresh button.

i get that, but it just updated before the i printed the screen, so they should be similar expecially after 17hours and not changeing the multilight settings

im needing to do similar renders and plants and other accent type items are needed (i.e. vase w/flowers, umbrella..) any suggestions as a good place to find them

Interovisuals.com has some nice potted plants and vases, etc.

I agree, the floor needs improvement. The wood looks unrealistic as it is now. The chair looks great.
