I remember seeing a documentary about future robots entering our daily life and they showed a functioning (real) hospital robot that walked into the patient's room on four legs (i bet it was Japan, but i don't remember). Maybe not as sophisticated, but at least that large. It was way fucking scary and the patient didn't look too happy.

I look forward to when we, as old farts, get shoved into nursing homes by our kids, because family has become 100% unfashionable, and our feeding and washing is done by unattended machines.

Very impressive technology there  they should build one you can have as a pet dog you can take for a morning walk outdoors. :)

Here's something else in developement now for the US Army, the BEAR robot.

"No thanks son, could you just knock a bolt through my cranium right now please?"

That's the trouble with kiddies......you wash their arses, teach 'em good from bad, prepare them for the big bad world and then they shove you in a box in preparation for the final one..............which is why I fully intend to be the grumpiest, rudest, smelliest old bugger you ever seen............
