Here is the modo version of the same scene. Took about 19 hrs to render. Slightly overlit when compared to the maxwell version but as close as I could get it.

great stuff!

the Modo rendering actually looks better than the Maxwell rendering... but I think you could easily improve the materials settings in the Maxwell version to make it a winner...

I agree.

Great stuff, anyways.

Thank you guys for all your comments. Yes, I think the modo render came out pretty good, but if I had to choose I prefer the maxwell render. I like the way the textures hold good even the areas of high reflection (counter top, floor and cabinets), the glass objects on the counter also look better. I think the glass on the partition in the modo render might be better and definitely the flowers. The faults I find with the modo render could be easily fixed but would require more time to tweak the settings and I have already taken twice the time required to setup the maxwell scene.

I would like to think my comments are unbiased and neutral, cause I love both applications, one that I use a lot (modo) and one that I keep coming back to (maxwell). Thanks

In modo's I prefer wood and floor material, towels and ceiling lights. I think in maxwell's light is better in dark areas, glass sculpture, wavy glass, marble, wall lights,...

Both versions are nice but I agree, the Modo image is better only because the materials aren't so over done as the Maxwell version is.
Will there be a Maxwell Render 6 ?
